Classic Tents and Tent Spares
The origins of Force Ten dates back to the sixties when most expedition tents used straight upright poles and heavyweight canvas. To meet the needs of explorers and pioneers of the day we designed 'A' tent poles (revolutionary, at the time), and used cutting edge lightweight fabrics, but with a robustness which would last many years. Since then, demands and designs have changed but Force Ten still remains true to its founding ethos to meet the needs of outdoor pioneers, driving innovation and making kit that is fit for purpose.
The distinctive orange A-frame tent is still in production; many of the originals are still used by their owners today, making it arguably one of the most recognisable pieces of kit in the outdoor world. Our technical knowledge, and manufacturing processes have evolved and continue to develop, to meet increasingly challenging expedition aims, while the original threads of quality, durability and functionality are still woven through the product range available today.
Force Ten continues to evlove with cutting edge tents, sleeping bags and rucksacsk. These tents and sleeping bags are designed, developed and tested by our in house team of passionate enthusiasts, and our home in Scotland gives us access to the ultimate testing ground. This experience, and that of the athletes and explorers who use our gear to the extreme, drives our product innovation and ensures we remain true to the founders ethos.
